SECRETARY GENERAL & UBCCE SECRETARIAT
The Secretary General is responsible for the day-to-day
management of UBCCE and ensures that, within its

by the General Assembly are effectively implemented.
The Secretary General is assisted by a Secretariat
based in Istanbul, Turkey.
The UBCCE Secretariat;

organizations;
- prepares reports, position papers and information
notes and communicate them to
the public opinion;
- coordinates the organization of UBCCE Events;
- supports the activities of Thematic Committees and
Business Country Desks.
BUSINESS COUNTRY DESKS (BCDs)
As per the decision of the General Assembly of 11
March 2008, UBCCE Secretariat launched “Business
Country Desks” in each member organization to better
coordinate and assist member business organizations
in achieving the internationalization of the Black
Sea and Caspian Business.
A BCD is an executive office of member national
business organizations in close connection with
other member organizations of UBCCE created to
assist member enterprises all over the Region. The
project involves a mutual commitment between each
member organization of the Union. Each national
organization puts at the disposition of the project
an experienced person to deal with interested
companies. Thus, a network is created to give
assistance to all sister organizations in trade and
investment.
Within the framework of the Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) signed between UBCCE and
BUSINESMED in Baku, Azerbaijan on October 2, 2007
for the occasion of the First Business Forum of
UBCCE, where the intention of both business
organizations was expressed for closer cooperation
in exchange of information on business and
investment opportunities in effective manner; it has
been decided to coordinate the actions of BCDs of
the two organizations to create a network for the
benefit of all member companies.
